I’m highly amazed that in 2017 where gender equality is the basic phenomena, men and women are equal in each and every way but still some men have problem with success of women.

Recently I met a Senior Manager of a MNC and that left me stunned by listening to his views and thoughts. Suddenly a talk started on today’s women and he quoted apparently “Women best role is in the kitchen, I don’t understand why do women work and try to compete with men”

After a couple of drinks, he poured his heart out and shared that recently her wife got prompted and she almost started drawing similar salary as him which he could not digest and he told his wife to stop working as it was hampering their household.

At that point of time I did not have anything to say to him, however this conversation took me to a point where I am forced to think and question all of you that all this gender equality and women empowerment we talk about, are they just words for us or do we really mean and follow them in the real world?
